MyLearning - the flexible resource for teachers
The My Learning website is a joint initiative between the Renaissance Yorkshire Hub and MLA Yorkshire (Museums, Libraries and Archives in Yorkshire).
Research showed that teachers wanted a flexible resource that could be used as a stand-alone teaching aid or a planning tool to prepare for a visit. It also suggested they wanted a ‘one stop shop’ for Yorkshire, recognising the benefits of using local and regional museums regularly as well as the occasional ‘big long distance visit to a national’.
My Learning has become a valuable resource for teachers and learners inspired by the museum, library and archive collections in Yorkshire. Resources are presented as Learning Journeys - suggested sequences to learn about a particular curriculum topic. The site features rich engaging content in the form of video, audio, Interactive games and quizzes.
