A career in block paving proved short lived, so Steve joined Intermarketing in ’93 as an account executive.
An early sabbatical playing professional rugby in New Zealand followed. On his return to the UK he worked his way up to Client Services Director looking after clients including Next Directory, Grattan, Laura Ashley, Britannia Music and First Direct. He left to set-up prego* in 2002.
Despite being the wrong side of 30, Steve still sucks his thumb in moments of fatigue. His young sons Fergus and Charlie find this an embarrassment and often tell their dad to stop being such a baby.
